We are beginning a new topic on comics in media. Today is our first lesson, and we have just discussed what are the main features of a comic, the audience, genres of comics and examples of comics.
Old Master Q is a comic that was first written by Mr. Alfonso Wong in 1962. It has been an extremely popular comic in Hong Kong since then. There has also been multiple movies released based on the cartoon, and the first movie was released in 1965. Here is an example of the cartoon:

The main audience for this comic strip is people who are interested in comedy. There is no colour in the strip, but just a sketch. It is a short strip, and there is no narration, the author is trying to tell a story through drawings instead of words. This comic strip goes under comedy and entertainment.
Please take a look at the mind-map that a classmate has kindly done for us. In the mind map, it tells you the different audiences, different genres, design features and some examples.
