5 Google Search Tips

5 Things I have learnt from reading the Google Search article:
  1.  Keep the search phrase simple, if you're looking for a superstore, lets say "ParknShop", don't type the name of the shop, just type [Supermarket] or [Superstore].
  2. Use more descriptive words, if you are searching for a Macbook Pro 15 inch, don't just say, Macbook, type Macbook Pro 15 inch.
  3. If you are using advanced search,  use the options to get your websites, for example, I'm looking for some new sunglasses, brand "ABC", I would type in the "one or more of these words":"sunglasses ABC".
  4. If you are looking for things that have alternative meanings, like the brand Sharp, there is also a website related to a hospital, if you are looking for the electronics brand, then use a minus sign to show that you want to exclude the hospital websites. Example: Sharp -hospital.
  5. If you want to be very specific, use a + sign. For example, I want to search for the hospital Sharp, then I would type Sharp +hospital.
