Its been a long time readers!
Previously, all Year 7 students have been working on a project. We had to make a comic with a partner. We had to plan everything by ourselves. We have used this program called Comic Life. This program allows us to put images inside and add different types of speech bubbles, and basically everything that is in a real comic, you can put inside. We have spent 3 weeks on it, and during these 3 weeks, I have been working really hard because I had to draw all our images. It was quite stressful, but it was actually a very enjoyable experience. Please take some time to look at our creation:

Internet - Packet Switching, networks of networks and TCP/IP
Welcome back readers,
Today in Independent Learning, we have been learning about the internet and what is actually happening in the internet when we are uploading information
When we are uploading files onto the internet, the file is split into different parts called packets. If somebody wants to post something on a website, i.e Facebook. The file that is being uploaded runs through different networks, for example, our school network connects to our local internet service provider, and the provider might have its own networks as well. This information travels through these networks to the destination. The file that is being uploaded is not transferred all together, but it is split into small parts called packets. If there are some packets that cannot be uploaded due to the network it is on, the packet will be switched immediately to another network. This all happens in a matter of seconds.

ICT & Media - Comics
We are beginning a new topic on comics in media. Today is our first lesson, and we have just discussed what are the main features of a comic, the audience, genres of comics and examples of comics.
Old Master Q is a comic that was first written by Mr. Alfonso Wong in 1962. It has been an extremely popular comic in Hong Kong since then. There has also been multiple movies released based on the cartoon, and the first movie was released in 1965. Here is an example of the cartoon:

The main audience for this comic strip is people who are interested in comedy. There is no colour in the strip, but just a sketch. It is a short strip, and there is no narration, the author is trying to tell a story through drawings instead of words. This comic strip goes under comedy and entertainment.
Please take a look at the mind-map that a classmate has kindly done for us. In the mind map, it tells you the different audiences, different genres, design features and some examples.

English - Ambition Talk
Last term, my classmates were assessed on their presenting skills. We all had to put together a presentation that we can use to explain to the class what our ambition is. In this case, my ambition was to become a pilot. I have attached the presentation. Please take a look if you have time!

Music-Music Composition
Hello readers,
It has been a long time since I have written on my blog.
Recently, I have done some composition in my music lessons. This project focuses on simple beats and also simple lyrics that follow every beat of the song. It is based on "How we get to my school". What forms of transport we take can be put into the song. I found it quite interesting because this is my first composition project. If you would like to see the full composition, please click the link below:

ICT-What I Have Learnt
In our previous ICT lessons, we have learnt how to use a blog and create one for ourselves. I have learnt how to embed a video, use the RSS Feed and the most important thing is HTML, which stands for Hypertext Markup Language. It is a code that tells the web page to put something on it, such as, if I was to embed a Youtube Video, I would have to paste the HTML code onto my blog.
I have had lots of fun helping other people and myself to create something that I have never done before, creating a blog with widgets and videos is a new thing for me. I have also learnt the basics and the structure of a blog, how to make it neat and make it stand out.
The final thing is the best thing! I have never edited codes, but I have done so in my ICT lesson, my teacher has taught me how to change the HTML code depending on the size I want it to be.
